Part of #1

Question

Which concrete design principles and available frontend capabilities should guide the four-theme prototype?

Inspect Gumroad, the supplied Apple Human Interface Guidelines (1992) PDF, and the System 7 Figma community kit. Extract observable layout, typography, control, spacing, and interaction cues with source pointers. Identify reference-access limitations explicitly. Clarify how to translate these cues into responsive, keyboard-accessible member and admin journeys while keeping Minimal and Papercut distinct. Do not pick a winning theme or resolve the HITL prototype decision.

Verify the requested Tailwind CSS 4.3 against official release documentation and the official package/repository. If unavailable or unverifiable, record exact evidence and the nearest confirmed release as a recommendation, not an accepted substitution. Identify any blocker to building all four themes with a live switch that retains page and form state.

Resolve with a sourced research note on a throwaway research branch and a resolution comment. References are in the map Notes.

Resolved the research question for Validate the four design references and Tailwind CSS 4.3.

  • Tailwind CSS 4.3 is available: official release and npm metadata confirm 4.3.0; the inspected latest release is 4.3.3. No substitution is needed. Pinning 4.3.3 is a recommendation within the requested line, not a new stack decision.
  • Inspected Gumroad's live desktop/mobile homepage, relevant chapters and rendered figures of Apple's 1992 Human Interface Guidelines, and the Figma kit's cover and Components and Styles preview. The note records concrete visual/interaction cues, primary source links, and responsive/keyboard-accessible translations.
  • Minimal and Papercut cues are explicitly proposed interpretations because no canonical references were supplied. No theme winner is selected.
  • No reference-access or Tailwind-version blocker was found for a shared prototype with a live theme switch. State-retention guidance and proposed checks cover member/admin journeys, strict ticket-place order, and concurrent vouchers. This is a feasibility inference; no UI was implemented or tested.
  • Limitations: the web fetcher could not fetch Figma due to robots.txt, but T3 browser inspection succeeded. Exact editable component/font metadata and behavior remain unverified. Actual contrast, reflow, keyboard behavior, and state retention await the disposable prototype.
